Confessions of a Newly Single Girl

So, I'm newly single. Like it's-been-a-little-over-a-month-and-it-was-a-four-year-relationship newly single. These are my feelings/opinions/observances through my newly-single eyes (aka: I need to vent):

.
  1. The thought of going out on a date scares the shit out of me.
  2. Tinder is very...entertaining.
  3. I don't think Tinder is a good way to find the love of your life.
  4. I need to write a Tinder blogpost.

October 2013 BirchBox Review!

Alright, so this subscription box is one I have been watching for awhile now. It was actually the first one  I had ever even heard of and basically started my love for these boxes.

BirchBox is a $10 monthly subscription service that sends you beauty/lifestyle samples. This box was my second month (sorry, didn't write about the first one!) and I'm in love.

My other beauty subscription box, Ipsy, has really been disappointing me (I'm 99% positive I'm going to unsubscribe actually) so I decided to give BB a go.

September 2013 Golden Tote Review!

Okay, so last month I wrote about a new subscription box called The Golden Tote.  I was decently pleased and therefore, decided I would purchase it again this month. However, I am a little frustrated..

August 2013 PopSugar Review!

So, as you have already figured out by using your detective skills: I am a subscription box ADDICT.

WELL, this subscription box I am super pumped about! I am someone who researches and researches and researches these subscription boxes by watching unboxing videos, reading reviews, looking for the best deals, etc... Because I want to make sure 1. it's legit 2. it's worth it.

This subscription service is called the "PopSugar Must Have Box." It is $35 each month (I have a coupon for you later on) for a whole bundle of surprise goodies that vary - From make-up, jewelry, beauty products, food, discounts, gift cards, decorative things and even fitness gear!
*There are men's boxes at certain times of the year, but they are more expensive.

August 2013 Ipsy Review!

I'll say it: I am ADDICTED to subscription boxes. They're just so so so exciting to receive! You don't know what is going to be in them (unless, you're anxious like me and look for spoilers online) so they're like little presents that come in the mail each month!

Ipsy (formerly "My glam bag") is a beauty subscription service that is $10 a month, but you will receive beauty/skin care items that are worth WAY more than the price of the bag. You also get a little make-up bag each month. Here are what my past bags look like:

"YES"

I've started to notice lately that I kind of say "NO" a lot. Whether that's getting lunch with someone (OK-I don't just come out and say "NO!!" - I'm not that rude guys) going out, etc... I just am never motivated to get up and get going, I would rather lay around and watch RHWNJ (Real Housewives of New Jersey, c'mon!).

I'm just tired a lot because I work such odd hours  that come the weekend, it's kind of hard to picture myself drinking/going out/staying up late when I'm exhausted.

I kind of do...Is that terribly sad?
HOWEVER, I am 20 years old. I will be 21 in EXACTLY 3 months from today -----MARK YOUR CALENDARS, PEOPLE!---- and I need to live it up.

This school year (which starts Monday....YIKES) I am going to make my best effort to say "YES" more than "NO". Now, I am absolutely going to allow myself to say the n-word (woah, there) but only if I already have prior commitments, am sick or deathly afraid of spending alone time with that person.

I feel like sometimes we are just so busy with school and work that we may forget that we are also living. Life is going to end one day (well, this post turned rather morbid) and you don't want to be old and decrepid and think "why didn't I do that while I had the chance?"
+ nothing is worse than missing out on a night and not witnessing hilarious or drama-filled moments.

You need to make time for fun and your friends. Don't miss out on things you'll regret missing out on.

REMEMBER: You can re-take a class, you can't re-take a party. (HAHAHAHAA, JK, WELL, kinda --- STAY IN SCHOOL, KIDS).

So, ask yourself:
Do you find yourself saying "NO" a lot?
